Oil on Canvas Board An old chalky white pickup by an old chalky white house in the small town of Bluff Dale, Texas. Both of them together abandoned. I did this painting with a pallet knife three years ago. Last summer I drove by this place and the house had fallen in. The pickup and house had existed together for years, now everything has changed, the one disintegrated and the other pushed aside. I am glad I took the opportunity to paint them.
As a plein air artist, I love painting the landscape of both Texas and Alaska. I work mostly in oils, but also enjoy working in pastels, and sculpture. My contemporary abstract paintings are inspired by my plein air paintings as well as my reference photos.
