Contrary Creek by Jill Randall Granbury, Texas

 Contrary Creek
Jill Randall
16"x20" Oil
This is an unfinished painting that I am revisiting.  I am not satisfied with the color scheme -too many greens and blues. I do like the subject matter which is an actual creek on Contrary Creek Road just out of Granbury, Texas.  I need to do further color adjustment to capture the Texas landscape.

Downed Fence by Jill Randall

Downed Fence by Jill Randall
Granbury, Texas
8"x10" Plein Air oil
It was in the 70's, sunny and warm, so Sheri Jones and I planned to paint outdoors.  We chose an unconventional place behind the Granbury Home Depot.  I made a few artistic adjustments like leaving out a metal gate and some of the brush.  It was a fun time to be outdoors painting in January.

Highlander by Jill Randall

Conte Crayon Drawing
Highlander by Jill Randall
This is another wonderful model from our Monday Morning Drawing class at LGAA in Granbury.  Sometimes our models wear special clothes.  This gentleman is of Scottish ancestry and came in full costume.  A delight to draw.

Tired by Jill Randall

Conte Crayon Drawing
by Jill Randall
Lake Granbury Art Association has a drawing class on Monday mornings.  Our models are volunteers.  The artist reward the models with their drawings.  It is a wonderful group that has been meeting for many years.  This is a drawing from that class I did in October.
